Contemporary Bathroom Sinks Including Murano Glass and Crystal Vessels
Our contemporary bathroom sinks sit between the strict geometry of the modern collection and the full decoration of the glam range: a clear shape, then one material that does the talking. Twenty one basins, designed and handmade in Italy, most of them from the Prestigio line.
Murano Glass Vessel Sinks
Three designs in this collection are hand blown Murano glass and two more use cut crystal. Murano is made on the island by glassmakers working to a method that has not fundamentally changed in centuries, and no two basins come out the same. In a bathroom it behaves like a light fixture as much as a sink, picking up whatever color is in the room.
Bronze, Gold Leaf and Platinum
The palette here is metallic and warm: bronze on six designs, gold and gold leaf on seven between them, platinum on three and silver on three, with black filling out the range. Platinum is the coolest of the group and the easiest to place next to chrome or nickel fittings. Bronze is the warmest and belongs with travertine, timber and unlacquered brass.
Vessel, Oval, Rectangular and Pedestal
Eleven of the 21 are vessel sinks. Two are oval, two are rectangular and one is a pedestal basin that stands on its own without a vanity. A pedestal is worth considering for a powder room, where storage is not the point and floor space is.
How This Collection Differs From Glam
The glam collection is built on applied decoration: leaf, crystal, faceting. This one is built on the material itself. If you want the basin to be the single statement in an otherwise quiet bathroom, look here first. If the whole room is meant to be decorative, start with our glam bathroom sinks instead.
Prices run from 945 dollars to 5,995 dollars, with two basins quoted individually. Every piece is made in Italy. Contact MaestroBath for trade pricing, lead times or help matching a basin to a specific counter cutout.
