Steel is the practical end of the range and the one that takes the most punishment. There is no glaze to chip, no stone to seal and no glass to crack, which is why these turn up in guest cloakrooms, pool houses and anywhere a basin gets used hard.
The bowls are drawn rather than welded where the shape allows, so the inside is one continuous surface with no corner to trap anything. Polished reflects the room and hides very little; brushed hides fingerprints and water marks and is the one to pick if the sink is used daily.
Steel also sits comfortably next to almost any faucet finish, which makes it the easy choice when the rest of the room is already decided.
