Our natural stone bathroom sinks are cut from quarried stone rather than cast or printed, which means every basin carries the color and the veining of the block it came from. Eight designs from the Prestigio line, shaped and finished in Italy. This is a small collection on purpose: stone basins are worth doing properly or not at all.
What Quarried Stone Means in Practice
The basin you receive will not match the photograph exactly, and it will not match the next one off the same bench either. Color depth, veining and the direction of the grain all vary within a single quarry. If a client needs two identical basins for a double vanity, tell us at the point of order so the pair can be cut from adjacent stone.
Grey Taupe and Sandstone Beige
The finishes recorded across this collection are grey taupe and sandstone beige. Grey taupe is the more neutral of the two and sits comfortably against white marble and cool plaster. Sandstone beige is warmer and belongs in a room with timber, limewash or travertine, where a cool stone would look out of place.
Vessel Basins and Sealing
Four of the eight are vessel basins that sit on the counter, which is the mounting that shows the most stone. Natural stone is porous and should be sealed on installation and resealed periodically, more often in a hard water area. Avoid acidic cleaners entirely. Treated properly a stone basin outlasts the bathroom around it.
