Tobacco is the warmest metal we make. A smoked, faintly amber brass that reads bronze in daylight and closer to antique gold under a warm bulb, hand finished in Italy so no two pieces catch the light identically.
In a shower it does something no other finish in the range does. Steam and wet stone flatten most metals, and polished chrome in particular goes grey the moment the glass fogs. Tobacco holds its color because the warmth is in the finish rather than in the reflection, so it still reads as a warm metal on the coldest morning.
Both systems here are from the Mooi range, the complete set and the matching thermostatic concealed diverter, so a whole shower can be specified in Tobacco without hunting for parts. That matters more in a shower than anywhere else, since the diverter plate and the head are seen together and there is nowhere to hide a mismatch.
It suits a bathroom that leans warm: travertine, walnut, unlacquered wood, cream limestone. Against cool marble it does the opposite job and stops the room feeling clinical.
