Description
The CASO Freestanding Bathroom Faucet is a floor mounted, single lever washbasin faucet that stands 42.6 inches tall and delivers water from a slim, flat rectangular spout with an 8.3 inch reach. Designed and handmade in Italy from lead-free brass, it is the first freestanding bathroom faucet in the MaestroBath collection, created for freestanding and pedestal sinks that have no deck or countertop to hold a faucet.
CASO is defined by clean geometry. A slender round column rises from a compact 3.8 inch floor flange and ends in a flat rectangular spout, with a matching flat lever set just above it to control flow and temperature with one hand. Standing on its own beside the basin, the faucet reads as a single architectural line that frames a sculptural sink instead of competing with it.
Made for freestanding and pedestal sinks
A freestanding or pedestal sink rarely has a surface for a deck mounted faucet, and a wall mounted spout needs an open wall directly behind the bowl. A floor mounted faucet solves both. CASO can be placed beside the basin anywhere the plumbing reaches the floor, which makes it a natural choice for a sink set in the middle of a room or in front of a window. The spout outlet sits 39.8 inches above the finished floor, so compare that height with the rim height of your basin to confirm clearance before you order. It is shown here with the Calla Lily Pedestal Sink.
Installation
The floor concealed rough-in element is included. It is set into the subfloor before the finished flooring goes down, sits about 2 inches (50 mm) below the finished floor, and carries 1/2 inch BSP (G1/2) hot and cold connections, so your plumber may use standard NPT adapters to tie into US supply lines. Because the rough-in goes in early, plan this faucet during new construction or a bathroom remodel, and have it installed by a licensed plumber. The full dimensioned drawing is available in the specification sheet on this page.
